One of the many small businesses that FabLab works with is Freckle Studio, designers and makers of simple, sustainable wooden toys and products that come alive as they fire children’s imaginations.
The Freckle team have been using FabLab’s CNC machine to cut the birch ply for Freckle Studio’s kids’ desk, Desk Den, the writing desk designed to also be a hideaway to play in. The CNC machine is perfect for this on-going project because it offers a quick way to accurately produce high quality furniture. Birch ply is also a great material for this thanks to its strength and dimensional stability.
