Using multiple sheets of birch ply they CNCed a highly intricate frame for one of the Church’s beautiful icons that sits on their alter. Once the machining was complete, the wood was finishes with tinted oil before many hours were spent very carefully assembling the frame.
The project was CNC machined and assembled by FabLab Technical Specialist Evan Moore and then finished by Evan and Lewis Thomas, one of the other Technical Specialists.
Church member, Romani, who coordinated with FabLab on the project said:
‘It looks impressive to be honest. Many thanks to you, FabLab and Cardiff Met for all the support and the beautiful, spot on artwork.’
