We have recently got a new SLA resin printer, the Form 2 from Formlabs. It is a professional resin printer and can print in a range of materials, giving an incredible finish on each piece. Great for printing jewellery or fine, detailed models as well as producing engineered parts which need high tolerance to test you idea.
Stereolithography (SLA) is an additive manufacturing technology like filament printing (FDM), but instead of using a filament, it starts with a bed of resin and converts the liquid resin into solid parts. This is done layer by layer, selectively curing them using a light source in a process called photopolymerization. It produces more accurate, and higher quality prints than standard filament printing along with the option to print in a range of different materials with ease. Check out the resin library at Formlabs here.
