V track Career Wales Event

The Fablab hosted another V track event for the students from Cardiff High School. It was certainly a challenge to fit them all in here at the Fablab! But a lot of fun was had by all and the students really excelled at designing their own cars, with some cars nearing the fastest we have ever had here in the Fablab.

The day began with the students playing around with different design options and testing their cars down the track with plenty of failed attempts! But as the day went on and it closer and closer the the final races the cars started to get much more sophisticated as they learnt about the fine balance between factors such as mass and drag and the optimum chassis type and wheel sizes.
